Electricity Band PPU

GB – ElecBandppu

Compares the band rate on the current electricity bill against the same band rate on the previous bill.

It will fail if the tolerance in the validator is exceeded. This is used to identify price increases.

Variable	Description
Bill will pass validation if the Query Value is less than (£)	Enter a monitory figure, for example 100. The Validator will only fail if the value of the difference is above £100
Band number (e.g. A=1, B=2 etc)	The line on the bill, ie an Electricity bill will have Bands A, B etc (different ppu rates). If you want Band A, enter 1, if you want Band B, enter 2 etc
Unit rate change threshold (p) (e.g. 0.01)	Enter the amount of difference that is acceptable, ie 0.01 will be 0.01p
Only use previous invoices with 'a' and 'r' flags for historic ppu	Tick if you only want to use invoices that have the 'a' and 'r' flags

Electricity unit rate has changed from the previous invoice: FAILED - The name of the Validator

'threshold=0.01' - The amount of acceptable difference, ie 0.01p

'previous=10.50' - The ppu on the previous bill, ie 10.50p

'MinimumQueryValue=100.00 - The minimum amount the query needs to be (in £s) for the Validator to fail, ie £100

'band=1.00' - The line on the bill you are checking against. 1 = Band A (the first first line)

'QueryValue=131.4825' - The monitory value of the difference in the previous cost of Band A and the current cost of Band A, ie £131.4825
