Consumption Validators
GB – AdvancedConcurrentReads
An advanced version of GB – ConcurrentReads and is used to identify overlapping invoices. Checks to make sure the meter readings follow on and can be set to ignore if there are gaps within the billing.
GB – BillConsumptionAgainstHHMeters
Compares the consumption on the bill against the metered consumption in the Periodic Channel
GB – BillReadsAgainstSelfReadChannel
Compares the invoice meter readings against meter readings entered into Non-Periodic Channels.
GB – ConcurrentReads
Checks that the meter readings entered in the current bill follow on from previous bill.
GB – ConsecutiveEstimates
Fails an invoice if the specified number of consecutive estimates is reached.
GB – ConsumptionOnBillLastBillZero
Checks if there is consumption on the current bill, but the previous bill has zero consumption. The Validator looks at the consumption figure, not the cost.
GB - TotalConsumptionTol
Checks the consumption in the current bill is within a percentage of the previous bill
GB – TotalConsumptionTolYear
Checks the consumption in the current bill is within a percentage of the previous years bill
GB - totalConsumptionTol(lower only)
Checks the total LOWER consumption in the current bill is within a specified percentage of the previous bill
GB - totalConsumptionTol(higher only)
Checks the total HIGHER consumption in the current bill is within a specified percentage of the previous bill
GB – DailyConsumptionTol
Checks the average daily consumption in the current bill is within a percentage of the previous bill
GB – DailyConsumptionTolHIGH
Checks the average daily consumption in the current bill is HIGHER than the previous bill (using a specified percentage)
GB – DailyConsumptionTolYear
Same as GB – dailyConsumptionTol but instead of checking against the previous bill, this validator checks this bill against the previous years bill (allows for better benchmarking)
GB - ElecBilledEnergyvsMeteredEnergyPct
Compares the billed units to the DUOS metered units. The billed units should be higher as they include losses.
GB – ElectricityEstimatedDataCheck
Checks for an estimated bill on an Electricity Account where the Supply Point Profile Class is either 00, 05, 06, 07 or 08 (half hourly metering).
GB – ExcessiveNonConsumptionCost
Checks bills for excessive electricity non consumption based charges such as standing charges. It will fail validation if the standing charges are greater than those on consumption charges – a tolerance can be applied.
GB – ZeroConsumptionCheck
Checks to see if there is any consumption on the current bill. It will fail if the invoice has no consumption. Normally set as an information only validator.
