Excessive Non Consumption Cost

GB – ExcessiveNonConsumptionCost (ELECTRICITY ONLY)

Checks bills for excessive electricity non consumption based charges such as standing charges. It will fail validation if the standing charges are greater than those on consumption charges – a tolerance can be applied.

Validator Set Up

Variables

Variable	Description
Bill will pass validation if the Query Value is less than (£)	Enter a monitory figure, for example 100. The Validator will only fail if the value of the difference is above £100
Tolerance value non consumption based charges must not exceed (%)	Enter a percentage figure that you want the value to be within, for example 50 (for 50%)

Excessive non consumption based electricity charges: FAILED - The name of the Validator

'tolerance=50.00' - The amount of acceptable difference, ie 50%

'totalcharges=266.00' - The figure in the Taxable total field

'nonConsumptionCharges=245.00 - The Subtotal field (all charges) minus the Total kWh charge field (consumption charge) (ie £266.00 - £21.00 = £245)

'MinimumQueryValue=100.00' - The minimum difference in the two figures before the validator fails, ie 100.00 is £100

'toleranceAmount=133.00' - 50% (the tolerance figure) of the Taxable total field (ie 50% of £266.00 = £133.00)
