Our latest Training Session covered updating flexible procurement PPU charges in Sigma.

Pence Per Unit costs change frequently when you are in a Flexible Procurement Contract, and keeping up to date with the price changes in Sigma allows you to validate your bills against your current published rates.   Using Associated Data Channels will allow you to change the rates in Sigma and set up the Validation, Sigma will validate against the relevant PPU, alerting you to any incorrect rates.

There is a new Report in Energy Intelligence called Current Supply Point Details. This Report displays the current Supply Point Contract to and from dates, along with the associated Meter(s) and Account.  Where a Meter or an Account are not associated, an red X will be displayed.

The latest Webinar introduced two new Reports in Energy Intelligence to help you understand the data sources used in GHG Reporting.

Are you new to Energy Intelligence?                                                                          

  • *New*   Another new Report has been added to Energy Intelligence
    • Carbon Factors by Commodity will show you the CO2 and CO2e Factors for your database (standard of custom factors).  It will show as zero if no factor is available (in red if the factor isn't in Sigma, or black in there is no data for the time period)

  • This report uses the Sigma Best Available Consumption View, and shows the Emissions Factors, the Primary and Secondary CO2 and CO2e Emissions, followed by the CO2 and CO2e totals
  • *UPDATE*:  This report has been improved and now also includes the percentage of days for each data source, ie Actual, Estimated, System Derived, Missing and Forecasted.  The report has been renamed:



Release 12.29

  • Release 12.29 introduced the ability to report on multiple GHG Categories for a single Commodity. 
    • For example create/update a Commodity with: 
      • A Primary Category of Electricity - Scope 2
      • A Secondary Category of Transmission and Distribution - Scope 3

Release 12.28

  • Release 12.28 introduced the ability to set the reporting period in Energy Intelligence for Emission Reporting. The default is set to January to December, but you can change to any period, for example May to April.  Click here for more information
    • Also, Commodities can now be created in bulk.  Click here for more information
    • Two new reports have been added to Energy Intelligence: Monthly Billed Cost and Consumption Year on Year and Monthly Metered Consumption Year on Year

  • Release 12.26  brings the ability to enable forecasting for Consumption and Emissions data in Energy Intelligence for all reports that use the Best Available Consumption Data.  Data can also be uplifted or reduced over a maximum 2 year forecast period

  • Carbon Emission Reporting - See the new report in Energy Intelligence showing billed cost, consumption and carbon emissions.  You can filter the report by Date, Commodity, Site Group and/or Site.  The emission factors are taken from the figures published yearly by Defra.

    • Open Energy Intelligence and search 'Billed Cost, Consumption and Carbon Emissions'
