Total Cost Tolerance (or Tolerance Year)

There are 2 Validators that will check the total cost of the bill:

total Cost Tolerance
- Checks the total charges in the current bill are within a specified percentage of the previous bill
Total Cost Tolerance year
- Checks the total charges in the current bill are within a specified percentage of the previous years bill

Variables

Variable	Description
Bill will pass validation if the Query Value is less than (£)	Enter a monitory figure, for example 50. The Validator will only fail if the value of the difference is above £50
Tolerance value (%)	Enter a percentage figure that you want the value to be within, for example 20 (for 20%)

'tolerance=20.00' -The acceptable percentage difference in the cost of this bill and the previous bill

'totalcharges=181.12 - The figure entered in the Bill this period field

'upperLimit=151.20' - The previous bills cost plus 20%. £126 (the previous bill) + £25.20 (20% of £216) = £151.20

'lowerLimit=100.80' - The previous bills cost minus 20% £126.00 (the previous bill) - £25.20 (20% of £126) = £100.80

'MimimumQueryValue=50.00' - The minimum difference between the current and previous bill in pounds, ie £50.00

'QueryValue=55.12' - The Query Value, the difference between the current and previous bill , ie £181.12 (current bill) - £126 (previous bill) = £55.12

Total cost within % of previous years bill: FAILED

'MimimumQueryValue=50.00' - The minimum difference between the current and previous years bill in pounds, ie £50.00

'QueryValue=-275.63' - The Query Value, the difference between the current and previous years bill , ie £181.12 (current bill) - £456.75 (previous years bill) = -£275.63
