Network Charge Validation applies to Electricity EDI Files only.

There are 10 Validators that can be activated. By default, these are switched off.  This page will show you how to switch them on.

Opening the EDI Setup Activity

• Open the EDI Setup Activity

Activating Network Charging Validation 

If the USM has not already been added, click here for more details on how to.

Once the USM has been added, all validation is active, apart from the 10 Network Charge and the Valid Supply Point Check ones which need to be switched on.  

Activating the Network Change Validators

• From the EDI Supplier Setup Activity, click on the arrow to open the Validator and scroll down to see the Network Charge Validators

• Click on each Network Charge Validator to activate
  • Right click on each Validator > Setup Validator   

The Setup Validator popup appears and will vary depending on the Validator, but all will have a Severity level dropdown (defaulted to Warning) and an Active tick box (defaulted to unticked)

Activating the Validators

• From each Validator popup:  
  • Severity level - Choose from Info, Warning or Severe
  • Active tick box  - Tick to activate the Validator
  • Click OK

Repeat for all the Network Charge Validators (if required), and repeat for each Electricity Supplier.
