Once the Cost Definition is set up, you can link it to a Meter.

A Cost Definition can be used for the Unit rate within the   Budgeting. Activity.  This will enable you to use your metering data for the usage, and a Cost Definition for the cost.

It can also be used in Browsing to see your metering data as costs.


Note: In both of the above, it is important to create the Cost Definition at Site Level.

Linking a Cost Definition to a Meter

  • Right click on the Meter
  • Click Edit to open the Meter Editor 
  • Expand the Cost Definitions section 
  • Click Manage

          


  • Click on the Cost Definition you want to associate with the Meter  (so that you see a green tick next to it)

          


  • Click OK to save

The Cost Definition now shows in the Cost Definition section and will be used to define the cost per unit in the Budget.
