When creating or copying a Report, the screen has four tabs:

  • Data
  • Charts
  • Design
  • Publish


Each tab has different options at the top of the page:

Available options in the Data Tab

OptionExplanation

Refresh

Refreshes either the formatting or the report

Report Formatting

Formats  the fonts, rows and cells. You can also add borders, headers, footers, titles etc

Column Formatting

Allows you to format the columns to amend the title, add prefix or suffix, remove decimal points, sort the data, add borders, change the font etc

Conditional Formatting

Allows you to format a column and colour code the writing or add an  icon if a certain criteria is met.  For instance, if the figure/fact is higher than, lower than, equal  to, is a null etc

Filter

Allows you to change the options on the Filtering, ie make a particular Filter mandatory

Smart Analysis

Allows Energy Intelligence to suggest visualisations such as graphs, pie charts, line graphs, maps etc.  There are over 50 different visualisations in EI

OptionExplanation

Refresh

Refreshes either the formatting or the report  

Chart Settings 

This changes the size and position, the style and interaction.  For instance, you may want the chart below the table or customise the pie chart colours width etc

Title

You can rename the table and change the fonts etc

Legend

Allows you to state where you want the legend to be, add a border, shape etc 

Axis

You can format grid lines, add a plot or chart border etc

Background  

Lets you add things like a background colour, chart border etc

Labels

Allows you to show or hide Labels

Series

Toggle on or off the aggregation label or turn the chart monochrome.

Export  

Allows you to export by various means such as PDF, Excel etc.

Table On/Off

Allows you to toggle the tabular data on or off.

Report Formatting

Filters

Allows you to move the position of any filters and apply styles etc.

Annote

Allows you to add annotations

KPI

Allows you to save a report as a KPI report, which can then be used on a KPI Dashboard.

Summary

Allows you to create Summary boxes on your report with targets and will display  the variance.

Details

Shows the details of the report. When it was last run, last modified and what columns  have been used.

Export

A simple way to export the report, PDF, Excel etc

Share

Allows you to share the report by sending a message to another users timeline, email  or creating a link

Broadcast

Allows you to broadcast (schedule) the report to yourself, other users or to an FTP  server

Favourites

Lets you store the report as one of your favourites

Bookmarks

Lets you bookmark your report

Annote

Allows you to add annotations

Details

Shows the details of the report data.  When it was last run, last modified and what  columns have been used
