The Best Available Consumption Data View has a default reporting period of January to December, but this can be changed to suit your database requirements. For example, if you want to report April 2020 to March 2021, you may want to use the same Emission Factor for the whole period (the default), or change the reporting period to use the Factor for the year with the most amount of months in.

However, changing the reporting period will determine whether Energy Intelligence uses the first or the second year Factors. It is determined by the period with the most months in. For example, choosing the April to March option and running a report for April 2020 to March 2021 would use the Factors for 2020 for the whole period as most of the reporting period is in the first year.

Viewing the Reporting Configuration
To view the current Reporting Configuration, open an Activity to see the grey bar at the top of the screen
- Open Estate Management
- From the grey bar at the top, click Options
- Click Energy Intelligence Management
- Click on the Energy Intelligence Configuration tab
- The Emission Reporting Period Selection field will show the period currently being used by Energy Intelligence
- The default settings is Jan - Dec
- A note below displays: Info: Emission calculations for the selected period will use factors from the corresponding calendar year
Changing the Reporting Configuration
- Change the Emission Reporting Period Selection field to the required reporting period
- Choosing Feb - Jan, Mar - Feb, April - Mar, May - April or June - May will display the following note:
- Info: Emission calculations for the selected period will use factors from the earlier calendar year that the period overlaps with - i.e. for the year that the first month resides in
- Choosing July - June, Aug - July, Sept - Aug, Oct - Sept, Nov - Sept or Dec - Nov will display the following note:
- Info: Emission calculations for the selected period will use factors from the earlier calendar year that the period overlaps with - i.e. for the year that the last month resides in
- Click OK to save
