All Validators are set up in the Validator Setup Activity.  They are used to validate manual and EDI Bills as well as Tenant Bills.   This section details the Tenant Bill Validators.

The Tenant The Tenant Billing (TE) validators  validators apply to Tenant Billing only and are set up at the Tenant Account or Organisation level, NOT the Site.

• TB - ActualReadsAgeCheck.xml

  • Checks to see that the

    actual

    Meter

    Reads used to calculate or derive consumption on the current bill are less than (X number of months) months old

  • The amount of months is entered into the Validator.   Note:  For this Vaildator to work, Tick  'Save Billing Non Periodic Meter Reads' when setting up the Tenant Billing Group 

  TB - AlignedBillEndReadsCheck

  Readings used from the Non Periodic Channel are within a certain age (as determined in the Validator set up)

• TB - AlignedBillStartReadsCheck.xml

  • Checks

    that the end Meter Read(s) on the current bill are aligned with the Start Meter Read(s) on the next billTB - AlignedBillStartReadsCheck

    the Start Reading follows on from the End Reading on the previous Issued Billed

• TB - AlignedBillEndReadsCheck.xml

  • Checks

    that the Start Meter Read(s) on the current bill are aligned with the End Meter Read(s) on the previous

    the End Reading on this bill is the same as the Start Reading on the next bill

• TB - HfdChannelGapCheck.xml

  • Checks for any gaps in Periodic Channel Data

• TB - ZeroConsumptionCheck.xml

  • Alerts you if the consumption value is zero

• TB - totalConsumptionTol.xml

  • Checks that the total consumption on this bill is within a specified percentage of the previous issued bill

• TB - totalConsumptionTolYear.xml

  • Checks that the total consumption on this bill is within a set percentage of the previous years bill

• TB - totalConsumptionTolYearZeroCheck

  • Checks zero consumption on this bill/ last years bill

• TB - totalConsumptionTolZeroCheck 

  • Checks zero consumption on this bill/ previous bill

Setting up a Tenant Billing Validator

To set up a Tenant Billing Validator:

• Click  Image Added
• Change the Type to Tenant bill
• Click on the Definition dropdown to see the available Validators:
