This page contains the monthly published standard heating day data ready to load into your Sigma database.

They are also updated in Energy Intelligence each month.

The file includes all 18 standard UK heating degree-day zones with monthly figures calculated from a base temperature of 15.5°C.

ERRATA: Please note that due to an errata received from our data supplier on the 3rd of July 2017 (see below), TEAM has amended both the data for the yearly heating degree days and the 20-year average heating degree days.

"PLEASE NOTE: Following a review of past reports and the discovery of erroneous results in some regions over recent years, the decision has been taken to change the sources of temperature data and to restate past reports for all regions. In the first instance retrospective corrections have been made spanning ten years. All 20-year average data have been recalculated as part of this process. We apologise for the inconvenience caused."

 

Installation Instructions

  1. Download the file and save it to your computer.

  2. If file opens as a separate text screen. Select ‘File->Save As’ and save the file to your computer.

  3. Run Sigma and go to the Importing Activity. Go to the ‘Import From…’ menu and select Non-Periodic Importer

  4. Browse for the 'txt' file and uncheck the ‘Use date range’ box. Then click Next at the bottom of the screen to import the data. Any existing data will remain.
