Once the Cost Definition

- Right click on the Cost Definition, then Edit.
- Select Meter Management .
- Select the meters you want to link to this Cost Definition (use Ctrl + click to select multiple meter).
- Drag the meters from the Unselected Meters to the All Selected Meters section
- Click OK
- Click to filter the meters in your database
From the Meter Editor
- Right click on the Meter, then Edit
- Click on Cost Definitions
- Edit the Meter you want a Cost Definition applied to and click
All available cost definitions will show in a list.

is set up, you can link it to a Meter, especially if you want to use the costs in Budgeting. or Browsing Data.
A Cost Definition can be used for the Unit rate within the Budgeting. Activity. This will enable you to use your metering data for the usage, and a Cost Definition for the cost.
It can also be used in Browsing Data to see your metering data as costs. If using the Cost Definition for Browsing Data, it must only have one rate in it.
Note: In both of the above, it is important to create the Cost Definition at Site Level.
Linking a Cost Definition to a Meter
- Right click on the Meter
- Click Edit to open the Meter Editor
- Expand the Cost Definitions section
- Click Manage
- Click on the Cost Definition you want to associate with the Meter with. (The so that you see a green tick appears once selected)next to it)
- Click OK to save
The Cost Definition now shows in the Cost Definition section and will be used to define the cost per unit in the Budget.
