Linking a Cost Definition to a Meter

If you are using Meter Data, you will need to link a create a Cost Definition under the Site and link the Meter to it.

Creating the Tag CSV File for Meters in one Site Group

If you want to set individually monthly figures, you can create the Budget, then use the Importing Activity to add the figures.

It is important to fill out the CSV correctly to avoid creating incorrect data. Use the below guide to help you:

The Black writing indicates the Tags or default values (Do NOT change)
The Red writing indicates data that you will need to add

Note: The file can have as many rows as you need

Remember to save the File as a CSV in order to import it.

Column	Requirement
Column B	Organisation name, ie TRAINING ACADEMY
Column D	Site Group Name, ie Local Authority
Column F	Site Name, ie LA Dixon Control Centre
Column H	Meter Name (same as Column K), ie 1900037000698
Column J	Budget Group Name, ie LA Group Metered Budget
Column K	Meter Name (same as Column h), ie 1900037000698
Column M	Target (leave blank if you want to use the same figure as the Budget), ie -5
Column N	Start Date of the Budget, ie 01/04/2020
Column O	End Date of the Budget, ie 01/04/2021
Columns P to AA	The monthly Budget figures, ie 6975.68
