Meter readings can be added manually, one at a time. For more information on how to do this, click here.
This section explains how to add meter readings in bulk. This could be if you have 5 years worth of meter readings for a 10 channels that you want to update in Sigma.
You can have more than one reading for more than one meter in the CSV File.
The File will look like this:
This example has 7 Meter Readings for the Channel ID 1234-2 and 2 Meter Readings for the Channel ID 999-XYZ
Column | Description |
---|---|
A | Tag for the Channel ID, must read NPC:<channelID> |
B | The Channel ID in the non-periodic channel. In this example, the second line down, Data Load ID1 - enter 1234-2 in the Column B. |
C | Leave as NPD: (Non-periodic Channel) |
D | Enter the date of the Meter Reading in the format dd/mm/yyyy for example 01/04/2019 |
E | Enter the time of the Meter Reading in the format 00:00 |
F | Enter the Meter Reading for the above time and date |
G | This is to code used when the Meter Reading goes into Sigma. Standard practice would be to enter 4 (No Errors) |
H | Enter COM: to commit the data to the database after each set of meter readings. In the above example, lines 1 - 7 are all for the same meter, and lines 8 and 9 for the next meter |

Save the File in Excel as a CSV File to ensure it can be imported.

Below is an example with the line highlighted in red for you to see clearer (this will not be in red in the CSV File)
The File is imported using the General Tag CSV Importer, using the Importing Activity

Once the data has been imported, right click on the Non-Perodic Channel, then click Edit to open the Non-Periodic HFD Channel Editor
